**Winter Storm Warning Issued**
January 22, 2026
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning effective immediately and expiring on January 25th at 6:00 a.m. An Extreme Cold Watch for the majority of the Texas Panhandle remains in effect from late Friday night until Saturday morning. Heavy mixed precipitation is expected as well as a light glaze of ice. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below are possible.
